In 2002 the college Industrial Design Engineering commenced with a modern form of education which used an electronical teaching environment a lot. Traditional lecture-halls made way for year halls which didn’t facilitate the use of fixed pc arrangements. Students had to have notebooks to their disposal in order to make (wireless) use of the environment. To facilitate the students, amongst others, the Notebook Service Centre was established. Through a notebook project initiated by the NSC the students could buy a decent notebook for a reasonable price.
Since then, the notebook project takes place annually, and has grown into a project serving all UT students and many employees. Annual surveys prove that the NSC service and the notebook project is highly appreciated by the students. This appreciation is for the NSC the motive to continue the high level of service and constantly seeking ways for improvement which are possible because of new developments.
